How it works, step by step

These are real screens from CostBridge, using the sample data every free trial starts with.

  1. 1

Start with the recipes you cook

Open Recipes in the Kitchen menu. Your free trial starts with sample recipes already priced, so you can try the planner straight away, and you can add your own or keep these.

Every recipe shows its cost, which is what the planner uses to price each meal.

  2. 2

    Let CostBridge suggest a week

Open Meal Planner and press Suggest a healthy week. Say how many people are eating and CostBridge fills the week from your recipes, then shows what the week costs, what you save by cooking at home and a healthy-eating score.

The saving is a rough guide, worked out against eating-out prices you can set in Settings.

  3. 3

    Drag, swap and adjust

Questions people ask

Do I have to enter every ingredient before I can plan?

No. A free trial starts with sample ingredients, recipes and prices, so the planner works straight away. Change a price to what you really pay and every meal cost updates.

Can I plan for the number of people eating?

Yes. Set how many people are eating and the plan shows the cost for the week, per person and per person per day.

How is the saving by cooking at home worked out?

It compares your meals with eating-out prices, which you can set in Settings. It is a rough guide, not a quote.

Which plans include the meal planner?

All of them. It is part of the Family, Starter, Pro and Business plans, and of the free trial.
